I’m a Creative Director with a passion for chocolate, art direction, editorial design, typography and chocolate. That’s not a typo; chocolate is literally the first and last thing I think about each day. But in-between these cocoa dreams, I love finding new ways to communicate ideas in my work. I want the viewer to be immersed in a scene, in a feeling, or in a new world. And I like adding a little bit of quirk whenever I can.

I’ve worked as an art director and graphic designer for almost two decades and in that time, I’ve gained extensive experience on the media side and at an ad agency, for gigantic brands, under the pressure cooker of corporate reviews, on monthly and quarterly deadlines, and for massive audiences. My work has won awards (17, but who’s counting?), won new business for my agency, won national recognition, and won enthusiastic praise from clients and readers alike. 

While there are many parts of my job that I enjoy, my favorite is getting to travel around the US, working with incredibly talented photographers, videographers, producers, and crews, to produce gorgeous images. I love seeing the world, then using my experiences to help others see the world in a different way. I’m constantly striving to come up with new ideas, unique approaches, and interesting applications. 

I've also been fortunate enough to get some great freelance work along the way. I've been hired to design mini magazines, marketing materials, playbills, billboards, posters, websites, and books. (Although I’m still waiting for a chocolate company to come calling! Please note: I will design chocolate packaging in exchange for chocolate. 85% cocoa content and above only please!)
